The Afew Japan Day Event exists since 2012 and is part of an annual Japan Day Festival in Düsseldorf/Germany. This year we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the project, which all started with the crazy Idea of doing a Handmade Gel Lyte III “Koi”. Since then we have tried to create something special each year and celebrate the friendship between Japan and Germany. For this year we present you the Afew “Rise of the Koi” Capsule Collection, which will be launched on Japan Day.

The Afew "Rise of the Koi" Capsule Collection consists of 5 pieces and is our first own cut & sew collection. All pieces of the collection feature Koi inspired elements, which pay homage to the "Japan Day" History. The "家族 Verbund" (Family Bond) design symbolizes our close relationship with Japan as well as our family-business background.
On the 20th of May we celebrate the Japan Day at our Store. The Event starts at 7 p.m. CET and next to our "Rise of the Koi" Capsule Collection, we will do an "History of Gel" exhibition together with Asics. Of course our good friend Yuta Maruyama as well as Adjito will be part of the event as well!
