Union LA and the Air Jordan Brand go into the next round and present us the UNION LA x Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir”. With an extraordinary realization, Chris Gibbs shows us his version of the legendary Air Jordan 4.

Inspired by the high quality of Japanese streetwear brands, this aspect was also applied to the Air Jordan 4. This silhouette, therefore, features hard-wearing and high-quality suede. In addition, the plastic eyelets and the holder on the side are made of slightly opaque plastic. The lining is made of blue fabric, which contrasts nicely with the dark upper and the cream-colored sole. Another special feature is the sewn on and folded over the tongue. This is in a reference to Chris Gibbs’ youth, where he played in the Air Jordan 4 basketball. But because of the high tongue of the sneaker he always folded it down so it doesn’t rub on his shin.

In 2018, Union has already worked with Air Jordan to create two versions of the Air Jordan 1. The Americans originally opened its first store in Soho, NYC in 1989. A short time later another store followed in Los Angeles. They have now been in business for more than 30 years and their concept has remained unchanged to this day: “buy brands that we will wear ourselves”. However, the store in NYC was closed and now only the store in Los Angeles remains.
