The “Laser Blue” is coming back for the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max III a.k.a. the Nike Air Max 90. Just like the “re-shaped” Nike Air Max 90 OG which was released earlier this year, this iconic runner has the new shape as well. The lines of the silhouette are as close as possible to the 1990 original. In addition, the cross seam has been reintroduced over the side of the Nike Air Max 90. A detail not found on other retro models.
The “Laser Blue” is one of the most popular Colorways on the Nike Air Max 90, along with the “Infrared”. The simple and sporty colorway has exactly the style you want from a retro runner.
The third Air Max
When Tinker Hatfield designed the first Air Max, the Nike Air Max 1, in 1987, you could not have guessed that this sneaker would be so successful. The visible Air Bubble was revolutionary and has become a statement that is still unmistakable today. In the late 80s it was soon clear that a successor to the Air Max 1 had to follow. In 1989 Nike experimented with the designs. This resulted in the Nike Air Max Light. Unfortunately, the second Air Max could not continue the success, so Nike released the Nike Air Max III only one year later as a countermeasure. Today it is mainly known as the Nike Air Max 90. As we all know, this sneaker has become a huge success. Until today the Air Max 90 is one of the best selling Air Max models worldwide. A big part of the success is certainly the design. Just like the Air Max 1, Tinker Hatfield has put his hand into this sneaker and created this masterpiece.
