An upcoming collaboration between Adidas and Jonah Hill was rumored since a couple of months already. At the start of 2020 we saw the first project of Jonah and Adidas. In the course of the 50th birthday of the Adidas superstar, the up-and-coming director shot a commercial clip for the classic silhouette. Under the title “Change is A Team Sport” he invited the whole Adidas Family to the studio. Among others, the spot featured Pharrell Williams, Paul Pogba, Blondey and Jonah Hill himself.

Now the rumor has been confirmed. In the summer of 2020 the collaboration – Adidas x Jonah Hill – will finally be released. On the silhouette of the superstar, the artist has gone wild and the result is a very clean, but with nice details decorated Adidas Superstar. The almost all white sneaker comes with a handwritten “Superstar” in navy blue on the heel, which is embroidered in the leather. Further at the heel the navy blue leather application has coarse white seams, which provides a nice contrast. Additionally, there is no Trefoil logo on the patch. Instead, the initials “JH” of Jonah Hill are embroidered in poison green. And also the typical sewed three stripes of the superstar have been replaced. The sides of the Jonah Hill Superstar you will see padded three stripes raised from the leather. On the tongue there is a punched Adidas logo and on the inside there is an embroidered lion head. Last but not least, Jonah Hill has also had the famous shelltoe modified. In this collaboration, it doesn’t look as rough as the OG, but a little smoother.

From Superbad to Superstar

Jonah Hill began his career as an actor. His great breakthrough came with the role as Seth in the comedy Superbad where he acted along with Michael Cera’s and Emma Stone. Many spectators and critics only saw the young actor in roles as the funny and cheeky character. But Jonah Hills could prove his talent as a serious actor and convinced the press and critics in movies like Django Unchained, Wolf of Wall Street and War Dogs. His versatility broke away from the stigma as a funny teeny actor.

But his interest and talent are not only valid in front of the camera. In 2018 he also celebrated a huge success as a director and screenwriter with his film Mid90s.

Of course, Adidas has noticed this artist. As already mentioned, Jonah Hill was then hired for the Adidas Superstar commercial in early 2020. We can be curious to see what else comes from this multi-talent – in terms of film and sneaker!
